We Buy Cars - Cash For Your CarIs your personal vehicle looking a little stale? Is it time for something new and none of your friends will buy it? Or maybe the car salesman gene doesn't run in your blood. Maybe you just don't have the time to worry about it. Bring your car by and we will take a look. We love clean trucks and are always looking for the right car. If we can agree on a price, we will write you a check on the spot. You will need a clear title. Note: We do not deal with Flood, Salvage, or Reconditioned titles. A couple of notes : When selling your car you should understand a couple of things to make the whole process a little easier. Here are a few concepts you may want to be familiar with. Dents - If the vehicle has a visible dent or crash or has been keyed you're looking at a major deduction in the valuation of your car. To you it's nothing, you have already gotten over the pain of the little fender bender where you backed into you mom's car. But the next buyer doesn't see it that way. They see a car that has been in a major accident and probably the frame is bent and it will never drive right again. Because of the little dent most buyers will walk right past the car unless they think they are getting the deal of the century. As a dealer if the customer needs to get the deal of the century then you need to understand that when I buy it from you, I need to get the deal of the century plus 500 dollars less. Needs Paint - If we were a body shop, we would charge $800.00 to paint your car. So using that logic, if it needs paint then subtract 800.00 from the amount you would expect to get for the vehicle if it did not need a paint job. Needs a hood but has a $2000.00 dollar radio. - If I were a Stereo shop, I would give you 200.00 for the stereo and you could keep the car. Since I am a Car store, I will give you a fair price for the car and you can keep the stereo. But you better put the original back in, and it better work. No holes please. Over 100,000 miles - When I have gone looking for a car I have never said, "Do you have anything with real high miles?". That is because I do not want a car with high miles. Nor do most people out there buying a car. So when you wonder why I have the nerve to offer you so little on your very experienced car, it is because the next person looking will either walk by the car or consider it only if it is the deal of the century. And we already talked about "Deal of the Century" cars. See Dents above. Mr. Blue Book and his friends Edmunds and NADA. - These three industry resources can be used to get an idea of the value of your vehicle. They have different books for consumers and dealers. We use the NADA book to get an idea of the value of your car and then take a look at your car from there. We will show you the books if you like. We also have tools that give us the wholesale value for your car. We like the wholesale value because it tells us what we can truly expect the sell the car for if we cannot sell it on the lot. Many people bring if their printout of Kelly Blue Book and ask for the check. While Mr. Kelly strives to be accurate in his evaluation, he is not the one paying for the car. He doesn't know about the tires, the scratches, the torn seats and that Yugos do not sell well in Austin. |
